Fuengirola!

I have just arrived back to Aranda de Duero after spending the weekend in Fuengirola. Fuengirola is a town in the province of Málaga in the south of Spain. We stayed in a hotel on the beachfront, and the temperature was warm enough to wear shorts! I was very surprised how different the climate was to where I'm living in the north of Spain. I absolutely loved getting some sunshine!

Team Kiekkobussi consisted fully of Finnish players, except me. We played three games on Saturday (two wins, one loss) and placed second in our pool. We faced Seville in the quarterfinal on Sunday and unfortunately the game did not go our way and we didn't make it to the next round. I managed to put a few points on the scoreboard over the weekend and finished fourth on the individual tournament statistics with 8 points (5G + 3A) from the 4 games :)

Even though we got knocked out, it was a very enjoyable trip and I definitely want to head back down south sometime soon! A big thanks to Team Kiekkobussi for having me on your team, also to the Lions Inline Hockey Club for putting on a great tournament!
